Aimee Stewart, Executive Director/Artistic Director

Aimee Stewart is the Founder and Artistic Director of Chandler Children’s Choir. Since its inception in 2008, CCC has grown from a young choir of 27 singers to a highly respected choral organization in Arizona, with four performing ensembles and an introductory choir. In both 2020 and 2024, CCC's top ensemble was selected to perform at ACDA Western Region conference under her direction. She also  conducts the Chamber Singers at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, the Tempe Community Messiah, has served as President of the Arizona chapter of ACDA and was elected as Western Region ACDA President for 2026-2028. In 2022, she was awarded AzACDA Choral Director of the Year.

As a youth, Aimee studied voice and violin, and performed in a string quartet. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and recently received her Master’s degree in Conducting from Arizona State University. She is a frequent clinician, adjudicator and honor choir director as well as presenter for school districts and state conferences. She and her husband, Adam, are the parents of four children, all of whom have sung with CCC.

Julie Schlarmann, Operations Director

Julie Schlarmann has been involved with the Chandler Children’s Choir since 2011, when the first of her three kids joined the choir. During that time Julie has served as interim executive director, Tempo president, tour manager, music librarian and uniform coordinator. She enjoys musicals, attending her kids’ activities and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys visiting the Midwest where she is originally from.

Ashley Whipple, Business Director

Ashley Whipple started her journey with CCC when her then 10-year-old son joined Encore Choir in 2014. Her youngest child joined Junior Choir the following year. After two years of the choir parent life, Ashley began working as the Choir Manager. In her eighth year as a CCC staff member, Ashley transitioned to Business Director.
Ashley earned a Computer Information Systems degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business. Her eclectic interests ranging from all things crafty to photography to well-organized spreadsheets has been a great asset in her role at CCC.

Mandy Clegg, Encore and Junior Choir Director

Mandy Clegg is in her fourth year with Chandler Children’s Choir as the director of Junior and Encore Choir. She holds a BM in Voice Performance from the U of A and received her MME from ASU in 2013. Following graduation from ASU, she founded the choir program at Benjamin Franklin High School in Queen Creek, growing the program from 80 singers in 3 choirs to 200 singers and 6 choirs in 5 years. She left Ben Franklin in 2018 to stay at home with her two children. A private teacher and active singer, she maintains a small studio and sings with choirs around the valley including the Sonoran Desert Chorale (2019-2021), Solis Camerata - an early music chamber choir, and the Spire Chorus.

Karlie Roskelley, Associate Conductor

Karlie Roskelley is excited to join the Chandler Children’s Choir team as the Junior Choir Rehearsal Director! She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Northern Arizona University and taught music and choir at both the Elementary and Junior High levels in the Paradise Valley and Chandler Unified School districts.  Karlie took a sabbatical from formal teaching to be a stay-at-home mom for her 2 kids, during which time she volunteered as choir director for her church congregation, leading music for children, youth, and adults.  Currently, Karlie sings with the Community Choir of Arizona and is excited to share her passion for music with the Chandler Children’s Choir.  When not involved in music, Karlie loves spending time with her husband, 2 kids, and boxer dog, Roxy as well as running and sewing. 

Cecelia Burnett, San Tan Children's Choir Director

Cecelia Burnett After singing with Bruce Rogers at Mt. San Antonio College, Mrs. Burnett received a Bachelor of Arts in music with an emphasis in music education from California State University Fullerton.  She and her husband Jeremy moved to Arizona in 2008 where she ran a piano studio out of her home and sang in the Sonoran Desert Chorale while raising their 4 children.  She currently teaches Jr. high women’s ensemble and assists in high school honor choir at Benjamin Franklin high school. 

Emali Mollenhauer, San Tan Children's Choir Director

Emali Mollenhauer is a choral educator, vocalist, and music teacher with over twenty-five years of experience in music education across a variety of settings, including private voice instruction, early childhood music programs, and public school classrooms.

She teaches choir, drama, and digital music production.

Emali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a vocal emphasis from Northern Arizona University and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Music Education at Southern Utah University. She is passionate about developing healthy vocal technique, musical independence, and a lifelong love of singing in young musicians.

As a vocalist, Emali has studied with Margaret Gunderson, Amy Chapman, and Melissa Solomon, and brings her love of singing into every aspect of her teaching. She is dedicated to nurturing confident, expressive performers and believes choral music provides a powerful space for connection, creativity, and community.

 Emali is also a wife and the proud mother of six beautiful children.

Dr. Andrew Campbell, Principal Collaborative Pianist

Dr. Andrew Campbell has established himself as one of the most versatile collaborative pianists in the United States with a performing career that has taken him to over 40 states and six continents.
Dr. Campbell studied with the renowned collaborative artist Martin Katz and is currently Director of the Collaborative Piano Program at Arizona State University. His early musical foundation was based on choral singing, as his mother was the founder of the San Diego Children’s Choir. After hearing the CCC Holiday Concert many years ago and observing the amazing work of Aimee Stewart and her team, he enrolled his own daughters as soon as they were old enough. He is the volunteer collaborative pianist for Cantus and Ad Astra Choirs.

Haley Smith, Collaborative Pianist

Haley Smith enjoys a diverse music career, playing piano with choirs, vocalists, and instrumentalists across the valley. Her passion for collaborating with others began in middle school when she started accompanying church children’s choirs! She is grateful to play with Chandler Children’s Choir and continue to experience the joy of hearing young voices singing.
Having studied collaborative piano and piano performance, Haley is currently an adjunct faculty member at Grand Canyon University where she works with soloists and teaches piano. In her free time, Haley enjoys spending time with loved ones and exploring new places and cuisines.

Taylor Day, Vox Anima and Prelude Director

Taylor Day is a recent graduate of Choral Music Education from Northern Arizona University. 

Taylor has been involved in many choral ensembles and is still an active singer and performer in the valley.

Currently, Taylor is a music teacher in the Kyrene Elementary School District teaching K-5th general music.

Taylor serves on the board of Arizona American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) as the Communications and Social Media Manager.

She also is a musical director at Arizona Community Theatrical Company  (AzACT) where she teaches main stage musicals and hosts a voice studio primarily composed of high students.

Katie Gerrich, Education Outreach

Katie Gerrich is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Arizona State University in the Music Learning and Teaching and Choral Departments.  Prior to her appointment at ASU, Katie was Director of Choirs for 20 years at McClintock High School in Tempe, Arizona, where her choirs consistently received top ratings at festivals throughout the United States.

Katie earned both her Bachelor of Choral Music Education and Master’s In Education-Human Relations from Northern Arizona University. As a clinician, Katie has conducted and adjudicated middle school and high school ensembles throughout the valley. A dedicated leader in the profession, she frequently presents at ACDA and AMEA state conferences. She serves as the immediate past president of the Arizona chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and has served as chair for both the Arizona Southwest Regional Choir and the Arizona All-State Jazz Choir.  In 2024, she was recognized as Arizona’s representative in School Band and Orchestra Magazine’s “50 Music Teachers Who Make a Difference.” She resides in Chandler with her husband and her 10-year-old daughter.

Stephanie Nuttall, Auditions Coordinator, Data Manager & Bookkeeper

Stephanie Nuttall has been involved with Chandler Children’s Choir for over two years, currently serving as Data Manager and Bookkeeper. Stephanie’s oldest daughter has been a part of CCC going on six years now. We have loved every moment and memory of Chandler Children’s Choir!  Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, playing games, organizing, family trips, and relaxing at the theatre, listening to a good audiobook, or watching a good movie from the comfort of her couch.

Sharlene Rice, Choir Manager

Sharlene Rice has been involved with the Chandler Children’s Choir since 2023 when her daughter began singing with the group, and she is thrilled to take on the role of Choir Manager! She is a dedicated mother of three musical children; her 14-year-old son plays the trombone and marching baritone, her 13-year-old son plays percussion, and her 10-year-old daughter sings with both CCC and her church choir, while also playing saxophone and piano.

Currently a substitute teacher for Mesa Public Schools, Sharlene keeps her schedule flexible to balance her family’s musical activities. In her free time, she enjoys singing in her own church choir, volunteering for church ministries, and engaging in outdoor activities like hiking and traveling. She’s also an avid fan of musical theater.

Sharlene earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University, with a Minor in Sociology. She previously worked as an Office Coordinator for a real estate investment company before taking time off to focus on raising her children.
